The cargo was shipped via ocean freight to Gdańsk, where it was transshipped to two trucks for overland transportation to Kyiv.
Challenge:
The shipment included mixed packaging types, including boxes and cable reels of different sizes, making it challenging to stack and secure them efficiently. Standard palletization led to an increase in the number of pallet positions and additional transportation costs due to mismatched package sizes.
Solution:
Working closely with the warehouse team, we implemented an optimized palletization strategy to ensure the stability of each pallet without increasing the overall cargo volume, maximizing the use of available space.
Results:
Delivery completed on time
Cargo stability maintained throughout transportation
Transportation costs reduced by optimizing the use of transport capacity
This case highlights the importance of teamwork and effective space management in improving logistics efficiency.
